Gerações da Talha Winery

The Gerações da Talha winery in Vila de Frades is over 250 years old, with 50 clay jars and more than six varieties of clay-jar wine produced by owner Teresa Caeiro and her husband, João. It is a family-run project that preserves the ancient tradition of producing wine exclusively in clay jars, replicating what the Romans did 2,000 years ago and respecting the ancestral methods passed down by those people. This winery offers wine tastings and jeep tours of the family's vineyards, which cultivate over 100 grape varieties.
